A shortcut works one of two ways. Point it at an automation or scene that already lives in Home Assistant or Homey, and the logic stays where you built it.
Or describe what you want and the assistant builds the shortcut itself, step by step. That one is stored in Zendo, so there's no automation to go and write first.

Set actions for arriving at or leaving a place. Home, the office, the school run. They run with the app closed and the phone locked.
Automations follow the person, not the handset. Change your phone and they carry over.
Tap the alert, land on the right screen.
Send notifications to everyone you've invited or to one person. New phones and tablets start receiving them automatically, with nothing to set up.
Mark something time-sensitive when it needs looking at, or critical when it has to get through mute and Do Not Disturb. Attach a snapshot so you can see who's at the door before you open anything.
Tap a doorbell notification and Zendo opens the live stream, with your microphone muted so you can look first.
Questions people ask first
Yes. Tell the assistant what you want and it builds the shortcut itself, stored in Zendo. Or point a shortcut at an automation or scene that already lives in Home Assistant or Homey, in which case the logic stays in your system where you can read and edit it like any other.
No. They need a remote connection so Home Assistant or Homey can be reached while you're away from home. If you run local only, they're switched off.
No. Guests can't receive push notifications and can't have location automations. Invite someone as a Resident if they need either.
