Local, private, and transparent about its own state
It works when the internet doesn't, your Zendo app connects directly to your system, and it tells you what needs attention.
Works when the internet doesn't.
Zendo uses a local secure connection to your system where available, switching to remote connection when away from home.
At home, that means your floorplan keeps working when your home internet is down.

What happens at home, stays at home.
The app connects directly to your Home Assistant or Homey. Commands, device states and camera streams go there directly and don't pass through our servers. We don't harvest personal data, and your configuration is encrypted with a key that lives on your own system.
We follow the connection security practices the Home Assistant and Homey apps already set, rather than designing our own. They've had far more scrutiny than anything we'd invent, and security isn't the place to be original.

Know what needs attention before it fails.
The Batteries list shows every battery-powered accessory, worst first. On supported platforms it also tells you which battery to buy, down to "2x AAA" or "CR2032".
Offline Accessories does the same for anything that has stopped responding, with detail on each one to help you work out why.
It's the difference between finding out now and finding out because a door sensor never reported.

Questions people ask first
No. Your traffic goes directly from your device to your Home Assistant or Homey. It doesn't pass through our servers, so there's nothing for us to look at.
You can use Zendo without an account. We don't harvest your personal data.
So you can control your home while you're away. If you'd rather keep everything local once you're set up, turn on Local Connection and Zendo will use it on the networks you trust.
